Gardening Made for the Mountains
Up here, everything is different. Shorter growing seasons, bigger temperature swings, and scarce water make raising food and ornamental plants a real challenge. Our goal is to garden at altitude using water-wise techniques: we build healthy soil first which is the foundation for resilient gardens. With good soil, plants use water more efficiently, need fewer inputs, and thrive despite harsh conditions. By improving soil structure, adding organic matter, and choosing drought-tolerant varieties, we reduce our environmental impact while stretching every drop. The result is stronger, more productive gardens that respect the mountain landscape and make the most of a limited growing window.
The Guy Behind the Idea
Hey, I'm Jonathan — a lifelong plant lover who's been rooted in Giilpin County, CO, for nearly six years. Growing at altitude isn't always easy, but it's taught me more about plants, patience, and planning than anything else ever could.
Whether you're just getting your hands dirty for the first time or you've been gardening for years, there's always more to discover. My goal is to help you grow with intention. That means finding the right plants, the right methods, and the right mindset for where you are.
But this is also about more than just gardens. It's about community, connection, and becoming true stewards of the land we call home. Let's grow something great together.
